Jeppe Gjervig (‘Borgen’) + Isobel Waller-Bridge (‘Fleabag’)

Jeppe Gjervig

Jeppe Gjervig (Odense, Denmark) was one of the first Europeans to discover that this fragmented format thing was going to be the future. In 1999 started to work with Danish television, at TV2, and in 2009 wrote together with Adam Price the international success ‘Borgen’.

Gjervig will be one of the main guests of the 6th edition of Serielizados Fest in the framework of Invited Country section, that this year couldn’t be another that Denmark. In this session, the screenwriter and showrunner will talk us about the connection between politics and fiction, revealing some secrets about the acclaimed ‘Borgen’, from which he wrote all the episodes.

Isobel Waller-Bridge

TV-series as diverse as the drama about the psychological vertigo of new technologies, ‘Black Mirror’, the British human comedy ‘Fleabag’ and the TV-series adaptations ‘Vanity Fair’, about the British high society at 19th century and ‘The ABC Murders’, the detectives’ history of Agatha Christie, have something in common. These four shows share their OST’s stamp: Isobel Waller-Bridge, composer of music for films, theater and television and, from now on, guest of Serielizados Fest.

Through the eyes of a job that sometimes becomes itself invisible, or rather obvious, Isobel Waller-Bridge will talk us about the importance that music has, not only in the audiovisual sector, but also in contemporary culture.

From the composer we want to highlight her job at the first and second season of ‘Fleabag’, where she worked as a tandem with her sister Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who have written and performed the amazing main character of this so appealing British comedy.
