Denmark, guest country of Serielizados Fest 2019

First came Italy (2017), then Iceland (2018), and now it’s time for Denmark. One of the most prolific European countries when it comes to television. Forbrydelsen, Bron/Broen, Herrens Veje, Borgen. BORGEN. Let’s stop right here for a minute.

The International TV Series Festival of Barcelona will have as one of its main guests Jeppe Gjervig, author of this political fiction that, in 2010, completely changed the scene and became a landmark on the subject. But this isn’t all. Denmark will definitely leave its mark on Serielizados Fest 2019. Here are all our activities with a Danish accent:

Conversation with Jeppe Gjervig about TV series and politics with ‘Borgen’ as a starting point.

One of the most brilliant minds in Danish TV comes to Serielizados Fest to introduce his new series and to discuss his first one: Borgen. A double bill with Isobel Waller-Bridge , BSO composer of shows like ‘Fleebag’ and ‘Black Mirror’. More info.

‘Follow the money III’ + Q&A with Jeppe Gjervig

The festival hosts the Spanish Premiere of ‘Follow the money III’, the new series by the author of ‘Borgen’. Series screening and discussion with its creator, Jeppe Gjervig. Denmark, DR, 2019. More info.

‘The New Nurses’ in a double bill with ‘La Jauría’, from Chile.

In thins Panorama double bill, Serielizados Fest premieres in Spain one of the latest great productions by Danish DR, ‘The New Nurses’, as part of the Guest Country section. It also brings the European Premiere of Chilean ‘La Jauría’, series by the Larraín brothers that was inspired by the events in the “La Manada” case. Denmark, DR, 2019. Chile, TVN, 2019. More info.

‘Doggystyle’ with the Norwegian daugthers of ‘SKAM’: ‘Lovleg’ + ’17’ + ‘Kongen av Gulset’

The Norwegian show ‘Skam’ became a global phenomenon, and not only on a social level. Serielizados Fest hosts the Spanish premiere of three series from the scandinavian country that were born right after the success of its predecessor’s teen plots: Lovleg’, ‘17’ and ‘Kongen av Gulset(The King of Gulset). Screening of the first episode of all four series. Did we say four? We did, because they will be joined by Danish ‘Doggystyle‘. SKAM has crossed borders. More info.
