Screening of the series that surprised everyone in 2016. Great chance to discover it or get back to it while we wait for the second season. Saturday the 22nd of April, at 17:00 at the CCCB Hall.
‘The Young Pope’ was the outstanding show of 2016. Nothing new. The jump to TV fiction of Paolo Sorrentino, one of the key figures of european author cinema, was one of the most awaited events last year, and its release in HBO has left a trail worthy of its idiosyncrasy: unforgettable characters, a celebration of irregularity and contradiction as a way of narration, and the reinventation, halfway between singularity and pastiche, of an apparently elusive and secretive world.
The first episode of ‘The Young Pope’ will be screened at Serielizados Fest after a conversation between Tony Grisoni, one of the show’s screenwriters, and journalist Toni Garcia Ramon.
